This notice explains how personal information is used when you visit SlotSitesUK or contact us. It covers this website, not the separate websites of casinos, regulators or support organisations we link to.

Information we process and why

We balance our legitimate interests against people’s rights and reasonable expectations. You may object where we rely on that basis. We do not need casino account credentials, bank details, identity documents or information about your gambling history to handle an ordinary website correction. Please do not include them in a report.
Searches and error-report protection
Site-wide searches are sent to our WordPress server to find matching pages. On-page comparison filters run in the browser. Search terms may appear in hosting request logs; avoid entering personal or sensitive information into a search box.
Error reports are stored privately in WordPress for authorised site administrators and editors. The reporting feature uses a hashed network-address token to limit repeated submissions for approximately one hour. It does not save the raw IP address in the report itself. This does not prevent the hosting infrastructure from keeping its own access or security logs.
Google Analytics and optional tracking
Google Analytics was installed manually on this website. Analytics can use cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish visits and measure how the site is used. We use that information to understand readership and improve pages; analytics figures are not part of the casino offer-rating calculation.
Optional analytics should remain off unless you accept it. Use to change the choice handled by this site. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent access to the casino directory, comparisons or support pages. Withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking controlled by that setting; it does not automatically delete information already processed.
Our consent preference is stored locally in your browser for up to 180 days. This preference storage allows us to remember your choice. Google Analytics cookies, where enabled, commonly include names beginning _ga; their lifetime and the retention of analytics events depend on the Google Analytics property and tag settings. Aggregated statistical reports can be retained separately from identifiable event records. You can also manage cookies through your browser or use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on for supported browsers.
Google explains its processing in its privacy policy and information about partner websites. Do not assume that accepting analytics here gives consent to marketing by a casino you later visit.
Service providers and disclosures
Hostinger provides the website and server hosting infrastructure. Our email service provider processes messages sent to our contact address. Google processes analytics information where analytics is enabled. Providers may process technical data to operate, secure and support their services. Access within SlotSitesUK is limited to people who need it for the relevant work.
We do not sell reader error reports or contact email addresses to casinos. We may disclose information where legally required, to respond to a valid legal request or where necessary to protect rights and address serious misuse. Any such disclosure should be limited to what is necessary.
Public-source research and AI
Our research system processes public casino and regulatory material, including source text sent to OpenAI for extraction and writing assistance. That is separate from collecting information about readers. The casino-writing workflow does not send reader error reports or their optional reply emails to the AI writing service. Please do not submit personal documents as research material.
International processing
Hosting, email and analytics providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted international transfer takes place, applicable safeguards must be used, such as adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual protections. The mechanism depends on the provider and destination. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data; we do not claim that all processing stays in the UK.
How long information is kept
Our retention policy is to keep ordinary enquiries and closed error reports for up to 12 months after the matter is closed, unless an ongoing dispute or legal obligation requires longer retention. Unresolved matters are reviewed for continuing need. Where a correction needs a lasting editorial record, we can retain the correction and supporting public evidence without retaining unnecessary reader contact details.
Hosting and security logs are kept according to operational needs and the provider’s configuration. Analytics event retention is governed by the Google Analytics property settings; aggregated reports may remain available for longer. Backups can retain copies until the relevant backup expires. We review personal information for deletion or anonymisation when its purpose ends rather than treating public research history as a reason to keep reader details indefinitely.
Newsletters, comments and affiliate links
A newsletter and reader comments are planned rather than active features covered by this notice. If introduced, we will explain the information collected, the provider, publication or moderation arrangements, retention and any marketing choices before collecting it. Sending an enquiry or error report does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
We plan to add casino affiliate partnerships but have no casino affiliate agreements at the publication of this notice. Before affiliate tracking is introduced, the relevant disclosure and cookie information will be updated. Once you follow an external link, that website’s own privacy information applies.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information, and to object to particular uses. You can withdraw consent where processing relies on it. These rights have conditions and exceptions; they do not always require deletion of a record we must lawfully retain.
Email contact@slotsitesuk.com to make a request. We may need proportionate information to confirm identity and will explain if more time is permitted and required. Requests are normally answered within one month. There is no solely automated decision about a reader producing legal or similarly significant effects in the functions described here.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve a concern.
Children and changes to this notice
The casino-comparison content is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not intentionally invite children to submit personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information that should be removed.
We will update this notice when the website’s practices change. The date at the top identifies this edition. A notice does not replace the consent controls or technical settings needed to carry out the practices described.
